The MERCURY ATLAS floor system is a commonly used underfloor heating system that provides a quick, flexible and simple solution for heating within a screed floor. MERCURY P16, M16 or P20 pipe is used depending on the application, which is held in place by staples with a barbed end to fix into the insulation. We can also design systems as part of a specified acoustic floor detail within flats and houses.

The MERCURY AURORA floor system uses castellated panels which interlock to create a fixing system for MERCURY P16 or M16 pipe that does not require fixings or staples. This floor system is commonly used as part of a specified acoustic floor detail within flats and houses where it is laid directly onto the acoustic layer.

The MERCURY APOLLO floor system is used when insulation is installed beneath concrete slab or on intermediate floors. A4mm Multifoil is laid over insulation or onto the concrete floor with joints taped.
A grid is printed on one side of the Multifoil enabling the installer to follow the grid lines for ease of installation. MERCURY P16, M16 or P20 pipe is used depending on the application, laid in continuous loops fixed into clamptrack with plastic nails and hooks.

MERCURY ARIAL is a clip-to-mesh underfloor heating system that provides an economical and quick solution for heating within a screed or concrete floor.
There are typically two types of floor construction; concrete slab and those which incorporate a reinforcing wire mesh grid at mid-level in the floor. The floor build up comprises a concrete slab, followed by a layer of insulation, covered with a vapour barrier and perimeter edge insulation. The wire mesh is then either installed on the floor insulation in the case of a simple slab floor, or at the required level in the slab on structural floors.
Mercury 16mm pipe is laid in continuous loops and secured to mesh with cable ties.

Floating
Our recommended floating floor systems, MERCURY HYPERION and STELLA 18 are designed to be installed on solid or timber floors. The sub floor is required to be flat and level to support the grooved floating floor panels. HYPERION offers a level of thermal insulation and can reduce the weight of the building structure, whilst STELLA 18 speeds up installation, offers fast response time and even heat distribution.
Floating Systems
Designed to be installed on solid or timber floors, HYPERION offers a level of thermal insulation and can reduce the weight of the building structure. This system is available in several different insulation types and thicknesses.
Grooved floating floor panels are laid onto the sub-floor. Aluminium heat emission plates are then laid onto the floating floor panel to cover approximately 80% of the heated floor area, followed by the pipe in continuous loops before the timber or ScreedBoard® deck is installed.
MERCURY 16mm or 20mm pipe is used, depending on the application.
A versatile underfloor heating system for new builds, retrofit projects and off-plan underfloor heating thanks to its low 18mm build-up. Multi-directional panels covered with 100-micron foil significantly speed up installation time, provides fast response times and even heat distribution. No screeding is required and suitable for most floor finishes. Also applicable to low-profile applications.

Specifically designed for joisted floor applications, MERCURY Ellipse, Eon 22 and Halcyon offer fast response times and even heat distribution without the need for raising the floor height.

With even heat distribution and high efficiency, Ellipse produces the maximum output possible from a joisted floor system when combined with a high-temperature heat source such as a boiler. It can also be used in combination with renewable heat technologies including air and ground source heat pumps.
MERCURY P16, M16 or P20 pipe is used depending on the application, which is held in place by fixing the aluminium heat emission plate to a joist or battened floor above rigid or mineral wool insulation.

Similar to the Ellipse system, MERCURY Eon 22 offers a quick response time with minimal increase in floor height. The construction consists of a load-bearing slotted 22mm chipboard that replaces the standard floor construction board. As the pipe is as close to the surface as possible, the resistance is reduced and performance is improved against a typical 22mm chipboard construction above the underfloor heating system. MERCURY P12 pipe is typically used with this system.

HALCYON is a system designed to be installed within timber joisted or battened floor constructions. The insulation panel is 50mm in depth and designed to be fixed to support brackets or battens mounted to joists. This allows the panel to sit at the same level as the top of the joists to enable the UFH pipes to be directly beneath the floor above.
The EPS panels feature heat emission plates and pre-routed pipe channels, making this a fast and easy system to install, saving you time and money!
Low Profile
Our low-profile offering can be installed into new build’s, retrofit, extensions and off-plan, particularly useful where floor height is restricted. MERCURY MAIA, STELLA and COMET are just a selection of our systems with minimum build-up heights between 15-18mm. Our low-profile systems can significantly speed up installation time and can be laid over an existing load-bearing floor. Various floor finishes can be laid over the top making this a desirable option for many clients.

Suitable for most room sizes, MERCURY Maia can be installed on any existing screed, timber or tiled floor. Offering a build-up of just 15mm, the Maia floor system uses castellated panels with holes to allow the levelling compound to spread and bond firmly with the primed substructure. A short drying time allows for floor coverings to be laid directly onto the surface of the levelling screed. As the pipe is just below the top layer, heat-up times are short and the system can be operated at lower water temperatures.

MERCURY Comet is an ultra-low 15mm, making the system suitable for projects where there is not enough floor-to-ceiling height to install a conventional underfloor heating system. Panels can be floated or mechanically fixed over a flat and even timber floor and a finished deck of 6mm ply, MDF or similar is mechanically fixed over the COMET panels to complete the floor.

MERCURY Zenith offers a complete solution for new builds, renovations, bathrooms and extensions up to 150Wm/2 on flammable material and 200Wm/2 on concrete. Insulation is recommended to reduce downward heat loss and maximise efficiency.
Installation is typically on top of screed or timber, followed by a flexible levelling compound that is applied over the electric mat or cables prior to laying the final floor finish. Heat is distributed from flexible heating cables laid in loops over designated floor areas and provides an even output throughout the area.

The Inscreed cable system is an electric underfloor heating cable ideal for installing within a screeded subfloor in new build projects and where floor height is not an issue.
Inscreed cable has a slower heat-up and cool-down time, making it suitable for rooms that are in constant use and compatible with almost any floor finish, or where the flooring (wood, carpet, vinyl) may be replaced occasionally.

DCM Pro is the ideal system for both new build and retrofitted applications and is specifically designed for use with tiled floor finishes. The system features a heating cable and an accompanying membrane to which the cable is fitted. The membrane acts as a decoupling layer which can help prevent damage to the floor finish caused by subfloor movement.
Installation is significantly reduced thanks to the self-adhesive on the underside of the mat that attaches directly to the subfloor. Although best used with a tile floor covering, a self-levelling compound can be used allowing it to heat and protect any floor covering material that is certified with use for underfloor heating.

Achieve fast installation with an electric underfloor heating mat and cable system with pressure-sensitive adhesive. Ideal for retrofit applications or where the floor height can’t be raised, the StickyMat system features an ultra-thin 1.8mm wire and two different power variants, 150W/m2 and 200W/m2, making the system ideal for use as a primary heat source in rooms with high heat loss such as conservatories.

Snow melting cables protect against snow and ice build-up over concrete and asphalt surfaces to improve accessibility and avoid accidents. Whenever the system detects snowfall or ice falling, it automatically activates to prevent build-up and deactivates once it has been cleared to minimise energy usage.
Systems can be designed to provide protection at temperatures as low as -20°c by spacing the cables closer together during installation.
