The Oaks is a new purpose-built 71-bedroom care home offering nursing, dementia nursing, care and support for residents. With stunning interior design and state-of-the-art facilities including spa bathrooms, sensory gardens, a hair salon and relaxing communal areas, this small care facility is a welcome addition to the community.

Working closely with the mechanical contractor and main contractor, we designed, supplied and installed a MERCURY ATLAS solid screed underfloor heating system, with edge protection and vapour barrier throughout all four floors.

We also assisted in the delivery of the programme by installing pipe routes to new areas, enabling contractors to screed parts of the building earlier than planned.

A 5mm vinyl floor finish was installed by others throughout, with the exception of carpet in the bedrooms. Residents, staff and visitors will enjoy a constant ambient temperature of 21°c controlled by over 100 Heatmiser Slimline programmable thermostats, positioned throughout the home.
