Supporting Mosaic in 2024.

UFHN, the award-winning underfloor heating company is proud to announce their continued support for Mosaic- Supporting bereaved children throughout 2024. This commitment comes after a successful fundraising drive in the previous year, where the company raised over £1200 for the vital Dorset-based charity.

“We are overwhelmed by the generosity of our staff, customers and partners during our fundraising efforts for Mosaic last year”, says Paul Lines, Managing Director. “The vital work they do in supporting bereaved children and their families in Dorset truly resonated with us and we’re delighted to continue our partnership into 2024”.

Mosaic offers bereavement and support services to children and their families across Dorset who have experienced the loss of a loved one. Through a variety of programmes and activities, Mosaic provides a safe and supportive space for children to express their grief and begin the healing process.

“We are bowled over to receive such support from UFHN and want to say a very big thank you to their staff and customers. Every pound that is donated goes directly into supporting a child or young person who is struggling to come to terms with the loss of someone they love. We work across Dorset supporting all our communities, and UFHN’s leadership and charitable endeavour is a beacon, lighting the path to better, kinder care for children”. CEO, Mosaic.

UFHN are excited to announce several fundraising events planned throughout 2024. These events will provide further opportunities for the community to get involved and contribute to Mosaic’s work.

Mosaic is also actively seeking partnerships with other Dorset-based businesses that share their commitment to supporting the local community. Businesses interested in learning more about sponsorship or fundraising opportunities are encouraged to contact Mosaic directly at www.mosaicfamilysupport.org.

Baking a difference for Mosaic.

There’s no better way to unite people than over a slice of delicious cake. And when that cake sale is for a good cause, the impact is even sweeter!

At the beginning of May, we held our first fundraising event for our nominated charity of the year, Mosaic – supporting bereaved children. Whilst the country was building up for the coronation celebration, we got the bunting out, paper plates, napkins and cake stands to host a bake sale fit for a king! From French fancies and lemon drizzle cake to chocolate brownies, coffee & walnut and more, we were spoilt for choice.

Thanks to everyone involved, we raised £150 for Mosaic which would pay for three counselling sessions for children/young people and could include Early Bereavement Intervention (these are for shortly after the death of a loved one), or Pre-Bereavement counselling. It would also pay for three children/young people to attend of the activity days.

Bournemouth Supersonic 10k

There’s a couple of achy legs at HQ this week, after Business Development Manager Mark Green and Internal Sales Manager, Simon Frankland ran the annual Bournemouth Supersonic 10K in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support, a cause very close to both of them.

The Supersonic 10K is an increasingly popular race distance and is a fantastic flat and fast course that takes in the beautiful sights along Bournemouth beach and the surrounding area. Attended by both amateur and club racers alike, the event is fun and the sunshine was shining for everyone on Sunday.

Between Mark and Simon, the pair raised over £1000 and have already signed up for next year’s Bournemouth half marathon where the course takes in both Boscombe and Bournemouth piers along the coastal route.

Don’t let your mate become a memory!

This is the message that we’re supporting whilst Richard Middleditch, along with a team of friends complete the challenge of cycling over 1,400km from Lands’ End to John O’Groats in memory of their friend Kev who sadly died of prostate cancer last year.

All funds raised will go to Prostate Cancer UK.

Please take the time to watch this clip and help us share awareness of the importance of getting checked and early detection.
