On Wednesday 22nd September we hosted our very own Coffee Morning to raise vital funds for Macmillan Cancer Support. This is one of our favourite fundraising events of the year as we have a few budding bakers amongst us, plus we are all partial to cake!

It seems that coinciding the event with the first episode of The Great British Bake Off had rubbed off, as the team tucked into some wonderful homemade treats such as jam tarts, salted caramel victoria sponge, chocolate brownies and mars bar cake to name a few and we’re delighted to say we raised £130.

Over the three years that we’ve been hosting the event, we have raised £500 that we are pleased to hear could go towards a Macmillan Support worker for a week, helping patients, family members and carers manage the social and practical problems of living with cancer.
